I Get Down, He Lifts Me Up.
Today’s message continues our study of Elijah and he is now in a cave and the word of the Lord comes into his heart, saying, “What are you doing here?”. Thus begins Elijah’s journey to be in the presence of the Lord. Massive winds blast the cliffs but the Lord was not in the wind. An earthquake follows, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. Then a fire and, yet again, the Lord was not in the fire. But then came, a gentle whisper, that is when Elijah knew it was the Lord.
Elijah was down but the Lord lifted him up. Knowing the Lord doesn’t mean you’ll never get down but it does mean you won’t *stay* down!

Crisis Makes Us Choose.
Today’s message continues our study of Elijah and he is in the midst of a drought. It was so bad that the King was out looking for water for his animals, but the Word of the Lord comes to Elijah and he gives the message to King Ahab. And the message wasn’t what the King wanted to hear! The showdown that ensues is the story’s theme, that “Crisis Makes Us Choose”.
Today’s bible verses are found in 1 Kings 18, using the entire chapter. Pastor Michael starts the message at verse 21.

Our topic today is that when is seems like we don’t have enough, God IS enough. We have to get over that it looks like enough when it is enough! If you’ll give God your “not enough” He will make it enough!

Today’s message continues our study of Elijah and Elisha with the central theme of “God Is There And God Cares!”.
Waiting is our topic today and our Michael take-away is, “While we’re waiting, God is working!”. As an example, a word from the Lord might be more mundane than we think. But we have the written word of God so we don’t have to wait around to hear a voice for us to make good decisions. And the word from the Lord might just be, “Wait”.

Today’s message, “Lord, make the DRY season MY season” and is all about drought. The parallels here are between a weather drought and a nation-wide spiritual drought. But, we know the Rainmaker and even though there may be a drought, God is there IN the drought!
Our theme therefore today is, “God is there and God cares!”.
And, anytime you take a good thing and make it a *main* thing, it becomes a bad thing….so don’t put anything above God!

Today, Pastor Michael’s message is a return to the series on “The Secret of Being Bless-able”. It is the last of the series that he has been covering for several Sundays. The main theme to this series is “Character Creates Capacity for Blessings”. Today’s message is about authentic religion and how, “If we know Jesus, we have to show Jesus”.
Our mouths will destroy our credibility just about faster than anything! We have the greatest message in the history of the world, why would we mess up our credibility to communicate that message?
